The V.P. Debate
After watching the debate last night, (because The Office wasn't on) I think I came to the same conclusion everyone else did. They both did alright. If you were an Obama/Biden supporter you probably thought Biden did a good job, and that Palin went off topic too much. If you were a McCain/Palin backer, you probably thought that Palin said exactly what she needed to and Biden went off topic too much. Neither V.P. candidate probably swayed any undicided voters, or pulled votes accross the party lines.
I did think there were some differences though. Palin had these same talking points that all of the neocons have, and when ever she was asked anything, she would look down to the cue cards and say, "Iraq, terrorism, or war hero," and spout out what ever was on the top cue card, regardless of the question, no matter how akward. Biden had his talking points written on cue cards also, but he shuffled his around to answer the question at hand.
One thing that I thougt interesting was their debate on global warming. Palin said what she has been trained to say, that there is cyclical climate change, and always has been. But Biden got a big jab on the republicans here:

College Professor Goes A Little Crazy
I've had some odd teachers before, but I don't think any of them ever mooned me. A professor at Kansas University got into a heated argument with someone in his(?) class and dropped trow. And like everything in today's society, it's all on video.
FORT HAYS, Kan. -- A professor at a Kansas university who dropped his pants and mooned a room full of students and teachers is under investigation after video of the incident was posted on YouTube, school officials said.
Bill Shanahan, a professor at Fort Hays State University, was at a debate with the Fort Hays State debate team last March when the incident occurred.
School officials said they believe things got out of control when the team got low scores from two of the judges.
Shanahan is seen on the video jumping up and down, ranting and then mooning the crowd in the room.
"We're sure that there's probably some facts and information that's just not available. I mean, you see a lot on the video, but we need to make sure everything is revealed before we take any action," said Fort Hays provost Larry Gould.
There was no word yet what kind of reprimand Shanahan may face.
Attempts to reach Shanahan for comment were unsuccessful.
